Jean has over 25 years of work experience in clinical research, with over 10 years of Clinical Data Management experience for Phase I to IV studies in various therapeutic areas, and several years of technical experience in software engineering and information systems.
After his medical studies, Jean realized that many medical decisions lacked factual data to support them, and thus decided to focus his work on acquiring clinical data through then emerging web technologies. He studied biostatistics and computer science and became head of Information Technology and Data Management at JP Boissel Therapeutic Evaluation Unit in Lyon, France. Jean was CEO at Clininfo, a company specialized in clinical data management and software development, and then became Platform Director and CTO at GEREQ, a Montréal based McGill University affiliated project. In 2007, he moved to Toronto to oversee CDM and biometrics at Biovail Biometrics. After Biovail merged with Valeant, Jean moved to Los Angeles and worked as Data Manager for several companies including Janssen (J&J), Clinovo, and Boston Scientific. In 2016, his family moved to Belgium for a 3-year opportunity where Jean was Head of Information Systems at EORTC, a European reference oncology research organization. Jean moved back to the U.S. in January 2019 and most recently held Clinical Data Management positions at CytomX Therapeutics and Corcept Therapeutics.
Jean has a Master’s degree in Biomathematics, Clinical Informatics and Biostatistics from Paris XII University and a Doctor of Medicine, Public Health & Clinical Research degree from C. Bernard University in France.
