Crystal has over a decade of experience working in clinical research, where she has worked at both the sponsor level and in academic research.
Prior to joining InCarda, Crystal worked in Virology at Gilead Sciences serving as the regional operations lead on a Phase III HIV prevention trial. She has also worked in Rare Disease at BioMarin across Phase II and Phase III trials, as the regional operations lead in North America while also supporting Europe and APAC.
Prior to working at the sponsor level, Crystal worked in neuroscience and psychiatry labs. Including at the National Institutes on Mental Health (NIMH) where she collected and analyzed neuroimaging data in various patient populations and Stanford where she focused on neurostimulation methods to treat individuals with neuropsychiatric diseases for various research studies.
Crystal holds a B.A. in Psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
